# Getting paid as a creator

> For creators: set up your payout account, understand pending and available earnings, and request or receive payouts on Rally.

## Set up your payout account

Open **Earnings** in your creator portal and choose **Set up payouts**.

* **Stripe** (most brands): Stripe verifies your identity and collects your bank details and tax information. You're paid in your own currency.
* **Manual details**: some brands pay outside Rally, for example by Wise, PayPal or bank transfer. Enter the details the brand asks for.

> For creators in the US, Stripe collects your taxpayer details during setup and can issue a 1099. If your tax details are incomplete, the portal shows a tax status, and payouts may be held until it's resolved.

## Pending and available

Every earning starts as **pending**. After the brand's hold period it becomes **available** to pay out. The hold covers the brand's refund window.

## When you're paid

This depends on the brand's program:

* **On request**: choose **Request payout** once your available balance reaches the payout minimum. The portal shows how far away you are.
* **On a schedule**: payouts run automatically, weekly or monthly, once your available balance reaches the minimum. You don't need to request them.

The brand approves each payout before it's sent. With Stripe, the money reaches your bank on Stripe's schedule after that.

## Questions about an earning

Message the brand from **Messages** in your portal. They can see exactly which post, sale or bonus each earning came from.
